Terms of Service

Last updated: July 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of LegacyHub (“LegacyHub,” “we,” “us”), a service operated by Principium Technology LLC (“Principium Technology”). By creating a workspace, accepting an invitation, or otherwise using LegacyHub, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the service.

1. What LegacyHub is

LegacyHub is a coordination tool for families managing tasks, documents, communication, and administrative details around the loss of a loved one. Depending on the modules a workspace uses, this can include tasks and checklists, document storage, family updates, contacts, a provider directory, travel planning, funeral planning, insurance claims, medical summaries, estate/asset records, expense tracking and budgets, an optional public memorial page, and an AI Assistant.

LegacyHub is a record-keeping and coordination tool. It is not a law firm, funeral home, financial advisor, healthcare provider, or insurer, and nothing in the service constitutes legal, financial, or medical advice.

2. Accounts and workspaces

You need an account (via our authentication provider) to use LegacyHub. A “workspace” is a private, shared space for one family or group; the person who creates it (the Administrator) can invite other members and assign roles that control what each member can see and do. You’re responsible for the accuracy of information you enter and for keeping your login credentials secure.

You must be at least 18 years old to create a workspace. If you invite a minor or a vulnerable person as a Guest or member, you’re responsible for ensuring that’s appropriate and lawful.

3. Subscriptions and one-time charges

Core features are free to use. LegacyHub Premium is an optional, one-time (non-recurring) charge per workspace that unlocks a customizable memorial page link, full workspace archive export, expanded storage, and access to the AI Assistant. Premium is billed once, through Stripe, in the currency shown at checkout, and does not auto-renew. Prices are shown before you confirm a purchase.

Refunds are handled case-by-case — contact us at the email below within 14 days of purchase if something went wrong.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use LegacyHub for any workspace or content unrelated to its intended purpose of family coordination;
  • Upload content that is unlawful, infringing, or that you don’t have the right to share;
  • Attempt to access another workspace’s data without authorization;
  • Use automated means to scrape, abuse, or overload the service, including the AI Assistant;
  • Use the public memorial page or guestbook to post abusive, defamatory, or harassing content.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, that we reasonably believe are being used fraudulently or abusively, or that pose a security risk to the service or other users.

5. Your content

You own the content you upload or enter into LegacyHub (documents, records, messages, photos, and so on). You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display that content solely to provide the service to your workspace’s members. We don’t sell your content or use it to train AI models.

You’re responsible for having the right to upload and share any content you add, including content about or belonging to other people (for example, a deceased person’s documents, or a family member’s medical information).

6. AI Assistant

Premium workspaces can use an AI Assistant (powered by a third-party AI model) to help draft messages, summarize activity, and suggest next steps. The Assistant can only propose actions — creating a task or posting a family update requires your explicit confirmation before anything is saved. AI-generated text may be inaccurate or inappropriate for your situation; review it before relying on or sharing it. Usage is subject to a monthly volume limit disclosed in the product.

7. Third-party services

LegacyHub relies on third-party providers to operate — for authentication, database hosting, file storage, email delivery, payments, and AI — each governed by their own terms and privacy practices. See our Privacy Policy for details on which providers process your data.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

LegacyHub is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that your data will never be lost — please keep your own backups of anything irreplaceable. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Principium Technology is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose (or $100 if you haven’t paid us anything).

9. Termination

You can stop using LegacyHub and delete your workspace at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms, with notice where reasonably possible. On termination, we’ll retain your data for a limited period to allow export, then delete it per our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll notify workspace Administrators by email or in-app notice before the changes take effect.
